What do Good Readers Do when they read?

Good readers do many things at once when they read. What do you do when you read? Or when you come to a word or part of the book you do not understand?

I first read a paragraph and if i dont understand a sentance or word i go back and see if i need to claify. Also i will always have to summerize the page or pages or chapter sometimes. I dont always understand it and that is okay noone has to be perfect at reading. That is what i do during times reading is fun and educational thing to do. So stay and school and have a great time reading. This is written by BLW

BLW Good thinking, clarifying what you read and stopping to summerize are things readers should be doing. I do think however that it is always important to try to understand everything you read, and to ask for help if you need it.

When I read a paragraph and I need to clarify a word i reread the sentance or the whole paragaph or I would try to spit the word in chuncks and take out the words I know.

When I reader read they will summerize the book or chapter by making a long story short by summarizing.. You can also clarify a word you don't know by finding out what it means.

Mr. W.
When I am reading, I always try and imagine what the story looks like/sounds like in my mind. If I don't understand a word, I go back and re-read and use context clues to help me make sense of of that particular word.
