The topic of this book is a lizard. This lizard called the Thorny Dragon lives in the dry, sand area of Australia. I learned that this thorny dragon is only four to eight inches long. They are not really dragons. Humans are taking over their homes. I also learned that they use camouflage. It makes them look a dead desert plant. Other animals don't want to eat a dead plant. I think the author wants people to understand the Thorny Dragons. If you are going to Australia then you can have a heads-up on the animal. I use to think dragons are not real, but I learned about the Thorny Dragon.
