The Story of Naismith's Game by Michael Sandler

Non-Fiction 5 Stars
This book is about a teacher named Naismith. He made up the game of basketball. If you want to learn how basketball was first made and played read this book.  At first he didn't know what to teach the kids at the YMCA. YMCA means Young Men's Christian Association. Then he had the idea for basketball.
The most interesting thing to me was how every time someone made a basket they had to climb up on a ladder to get the ball down. The peach basket they used did not have a hole in the bottom.
I think one thing the author wants you to understands is that at first there was no basketball, so be thankful for what you have.
