A Bad Case of the Stripes by David Shannon

Fiction 5 Stars

This book is about a girl named Camilla. She had an illness called the stripes and she changed into many colors as well as shapes. Doctors, specialists, and experts checked her and tried to heal her. Nothing worked. An old lady  is the only person that could help.  Camilla is my favorite character because she is very emotional and is a very bad worry wart.
My favorite part is when she turned into a pill because it was very very funny.  You should not read this book if you do not like the old days. All the pictures show things from the old days such as the clothes, tv, carpet, chalkboard, phone, and doctor.
This book makes me think about the time that I was very sick. I was very worried that I would not be able to go to school the next day and my sister would. Camilla had in a very bad illness as I was that night. My connection with Camilla is that she had to stay in bed all day and I had to stay in bed ALMOST all day too. Nothing is very exciting when you are sick.  But this book was.
